Penn State and SMU squared off in the first round of the CFP with Penn State advancing.
The College Football Playoff is underway and now has two games done with. The game was played from Beaver Stadium, giving Penn State a massive advantage location-wise.The final score came in at 38-10 in favor of the Nittany Lions.
Penn State added another touchdown, again courtesy of a pick-six. Jennings floated a ball again and it was grabbed by the Nittany Lions.Jennings threw a third interception, and this time, the Penn State offense was able to get into the endzone. The Nittany Lions took control of the game, going up 21-0 over SMU.Heading into the half, Penn State led SMU by a score of 28-0. The Penn State defense dominated throughout the half and made life tough on the Mustangs offense.
