He is now recovering from an infection and offering fans a health update on the healing process.While covering the 2024 Paris Olympics surfing events from Tahiti, Colin Jost, in his downtime, rode some waves himself, only for the first outing to leave him with an injured foot. Since then, he’s given the world plenty of health updates on the situation.Jost initially shared the grim news with fans in a July 26 Instagram that pictured his foot, bloodied.
While talking to NBC Olympics Late Night host Maria Taylor, he explained that his returning check-ups were to monitor an infection. “They started saying, ‘We need to see you every day.’ At first, I was like, ‘Oh my God, guys, I like you too!’” Jost said. “And they were like, ‘No, it’s because the infection hasn’t improved.’” He also noted that he’s allergic to penicillin, a group of antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections.
