The Colegio San Agustin-Makati (CSA-Makati) confirmed that one of its students died during a football game on Sunday.
'The student was participating in a football varsity game outside the school when he collapsed,' its vice rector, Fr. Julian Mazana, said in a memorandum on Monday. 'He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital, but could not be revived.''The cause of death is still unclear at this moment as we were informed that the hospital needs to conduct further examinations,' he said.
'The school is closely coordinating with the family and the hospital personnel for more details, and for any assistance which the school may provide. Meanwhile, we ask the community to join us in prayer for the student's bereft family during this most difficult time.'The school said guidance counselors and wellness offices are available for those who need support and special attention.
