Wayne Rooney made a dramatic return to English football today as he was named manager of Championship club Birmingham City on a three-and-a-half year contract.

The former England captain, 37, said he's 'absolutely delighted' to be joining the West Midlands club - who are co-owned by NFL great Tom Brady.

Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen , also 37, will no doubt share in her husband's joy when she sees what the UK's second city has to offer RESTAURANTS If she'd like to follow in the footsteps of A-listers, then the first stop for Coleen should be Birmingham Indian restaurant Asha's. The eatery is becoming somewhat of a popular destination with celebrities after Pink dined at the restaurant in June 2023, following the likes of Tom Cruise and Ed Sheeran, who visited there in 2021 and 2022, respectively. The restaurant went on to reveal they have created a pink gin-based cocktail in her honour after the What About Us hitmaker ordered samosas, mushroom Kurkure, chicken Chettinadu and a chicken Dhaba curry.

The restaurant was opened in 2013 by husband and wife team Adam and Natasha, according to its website. In 2022, it was named best curry house in the West Midlands at the British Curry Awards, reported Birmingham Live. The restaurant was opened in 1993 and has held a Michelin star since 1999. It has also been recognised by PETA as one of top ten restaurants for plant-based dining.

Indeed, Sophie Turner partied 'without a care in the world' just days before her divorce to husband Joe Jonas was announced, a bar manager who spent the night drinking with her revealed. I'm from Coventry and she's from Warwickshire and we were both on the party scene in that area at the same time, so we had some common friends.'

The swanky cocktail bar opens at 4pm each day, and boasts stylish booths as well as a dancefloor area. It also offers a mouth-watering Pan Asian cuisine. The centre is conveniently positioned between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham Moor Street train stations. It has over 60 stores, many of which are new to the city - such as Cath Kidston, The White Company, Giraffe and Tapas Revolution.

Above the front shops, there are six additional floors that feature a hotel and residential apartments. In fact, it stands as the largest hub of jewellery trade businesses in Europe - producing 40 per cent of all the jewellery made in the UK. Visitors can also travel back in time to Bull Street, a recreation of a Victorian street with shops displaying some of the first Cadbury products. Here they'll find out how the Cadbury business began.
