The Royal Observer Corps bunker was built in the 1950s to provide protective accommodation for three observers to survive a nuclear attack
'Preppers' worried about the chance of nuclear war can buy themselves peace of mind with their own Cold War-era British military nuclear bunker - and it comes with parking. The unusual 'property' in Sedbergh, Cumbria, is a Royal Observer Corps nuclear bunker built in the 1950s and designed to provide protective accommodation for three observers to survive a nuclear attack.
Another image features the inside of the main 'living' area, a cosy and plain room with a small log stove surrounded by wooden chairs. Social media users branded the property 'quirky' and 'the right size for a gaming cave', with others said that they 'love it' and hailed it 'deliciously weird'. "They were provided with enough food and water for 14 days and had a land line and radio communications available to them. It is in excellent condition, redecorated, clean, dry and secure and comes with a plot of land with gate for access and secure off-road parking. It even comes with an active phone line suitable for broadband.
