Unseasonably warm and dry weather is expected through the remainder of the week, despite the cooler and more comfortable mornings.
With much of the country watching a dangerously powerful Hurricane Milton rolling in the Gulf of Mexico toward central Florida , South Texas today will start enjoying a period of quasi-fall weather, thanks to a weak cold front. Well, let’s call it a “less hot” front because it won’t come with a drastic drop in temperatures, but we should start to experience more fall-appropriate weather like dry air and seasonably cool mornings.
As Milton makes its expected landfall in Florida late Wednesday, moisture-rich air from the Gulf of Mexico should start moving back into South Texas again. “Return flow out of the southeast will resume on Wednesday, with temperatures remaining above normal each afternoon through the extended period of the forecast,” the weather service said Monday.
