Washington Jay Sekulow, President Donald Trump's personal attorney, became the subject of renewed attention Monday evening after newly released congressional transcripts revealed Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen claimed Sekulow knew that Cohen lied to Congress in 2016 about when the Trump Tower Moscow project ended.
The transcripts were from hours of closed-door testimony Cohen provided to the House Intelligence Committee last March that the committee voted to make public. They also showed that Cohen said Sekulow decided to pick January 2016 as when the Trump team stopped working on the project."Just to be perfectly clear about this, the statement about the Trump Tower negotiations ending in January that was part of your original draft was false, and Mr. Sekulow knew that it was false?" asked Rep.
