is going out with a flying crane kick. Or three. The streaming giant revealed that the sixth and final season will be comprised of 15 episodes split into three parts, spread out over months.
It’s not quite the binge model. It’s not a weekly release model. It should keep fans itching for more, however. At this point, we have two release dates and a release window for Season 6:The new season picks up some time after the events of Season 5, when Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence finally brought down the psychopathic Terry Silver .
In the Season 6 trailer we see John Kreese teaming up with Kim Dae-uen to bring back Cobra Kai, likely in order to compete in Japan’s Sekai Taikai tournament, where our heroes are also headed.later seasons, which have had some really strong moments, but too often fall into a cycle of melodrama. Some of the show’s earlier humor—largely thanks to Johnny’s rough edges—has also been glossed over.
Still, I’m looking forward to the final season and where all of this is headed. If nothing else, we always get some exciting karate fights.
