Set 34 years after Daniel LaRusso defeats Cobra Kai student Johnny Lawrence in the 1984 All-Valley Tournament, Cobra Kai was created by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald. Hailed as one of Netflix's most popular series, Cobra Kai originally aired on YouTube Red before transferring to the streaming giant for its third installment.
