Coast Guard suspends search for nine people missing after float plane crashes off Whidbey Island

The United States Coast Guard has suspended their active search for the remaining nine missing people as of Noon on Monday.

One person’s body was recovered at the scene. Efforts were underway to find the nine additional victims, including the child. However, Terry Ney, deputy chief of operations for South Whidbey Fire/EMS, said it’s unlikely anyone would be found alive.
