Two divers that were missing for 36 hours off the coast of Matagorda were rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard on Thursday.
– “Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders received a notification Wednesday afternoon reporting that the divers were last seen surfacing in unfavorable weather conditions and were not seen after conditions cleared,” the Coast Guard said.
Former Ridge Point HS football player, Terrance Howard, on ventilator after being hit by vehicle in North Carolina A HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircraft spotted a flashing light in the water while searching and relayed the location to the Coast Guard Cutter Edgar Culbertson who were able to rescue the divers.
