The conclusion of the search for Cameron Robbins, 18, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was announced on Saturday after a two-day effort led by the Royal Bahamas Defense Force. There was no mention if a body was found.

The group landed in the Bahamas on Wednesday and went on a pirate-themed sunset cruise called Blackbeard’s Revenge.

The Royal Bahamas Defense Force contacted the Coast Guard at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after there was a report of a man falling off Blackbeard’s Revenge and entering the water, according to a“U.S. Coast Guard District Seven deployed multiple search and rescue assets in response to an agency assistance request from our partners in the Royal Bahamas Defence Force,” said Lt. Commander Matthew Spado, Coast Guard liaison officer to the Bahamas within the release.

Currently, The Royal Bahamas Police Force is investigating claims that Robbins went overboard due to a dare,“We were informed by the RBDF this evening that they were suspending the active search efforts pending further developments, and were not requesting further Coast Guard assistance after notifying the Robbins family,” Lieutenant Commander Matthew Spado, Coast Guard liaison officer to the Bahamas, said in a statement within the release.
