Here is a look at who is where:After two years of building up Maple Heights, Burns will try to elevate a Hawken program that won 16 games and took the Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division title last season under Josh Nugent. The Hawks bring back two junior guards in Daron Hill and Greg Price and are in the new Division IV for postseason play.
The Bearcats won 11 games last season in a Lake Erie League that produced two regional teams in Garfield Heights and Warrensville Heights.Joseph spent a decade as an assistant at Midview before the Eagles hired him in June. He inherits a team that won six games last season and is transitioning from the Great Lakes Conference to the Cleveland West Conference, which consists of public schools from the GLC.
Glenville's Bryon Ottrix watches the Tarblooders during a Jan. 26, 2024, game against East Tech. Ottrix, who served as Michael Holt's top assistant, is now fully in charge at Glenville.Ottrix had long been on the Glenville sidelines with coach Michael Holt, whom he now succeeds after they guided the Tarblooders to three straight district finals and two regional appearances in Division II.
