Frank Ocean’s April 16 performance was highly anticipated as it was his first time performing live in six years.
addressing why he would no longer be performing on Sunday, April 23 as originally announced.
According to the statement Ocean had suffered “an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1.” Because of this the R&B singer-songwriter was “unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity.”
The statement went on to say that “on doctor’s advice, [Ocean] is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.” The statement ended with Ocean addressing fans, tellig them that he would see them soon.
