CNN's Harry Enten breaks down where Kamala Harris is losing support.
Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during a presidential debate with Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump at the National Constitution Center, Tuesday, Sept.10, 2024, in Philadelphia. CNN data analyst Harry Enten said Vice President Harris may have some trouble among this critical voting group, according to recent polling trends.
“We’re looking once again at younger Black men at what looks like the worst Democratic performance since 1960 since JFK versus Richard Nixon. It’s the same thing among Black men overall,“ Enten said. “Now, again, still winning them by a large margin, but considerably lower than what we’re used to. Certainly, considerably lower than what we had during the Obama years. The bottom line is Kamala Harris, with younger Black men and then Black men, overall putting in historically weak performance for a Democratic candidate," he continued.
Harris' plan includes providing forgivable business loans for Black entrepreneurs, creating more apprenticeships and studying sickle cell and other diseases that disproportionately affect African American men.
