The Boksburg Cricket Club and Christian Brothers' College Old Boys have merged to produce more quality players for the South African cricket fraternity.

The chairperson and coach of CBC Old Boys Boksburg Cricket Club Willie Bernhardt said both chairpersons of the clubs decided to allow players to play better cricket by combining the two teams. “The other factor is the ever-deteriorating municipalities around the country is making it difficult to prepare fields and quality cricket pitches on a seasonal basis at municipal grounds.
