'A Clockwork Orange' is a cult classic film that broke boundaries and paved the way for the psychological thriller genre. However, the popularity of the film came with a drastic rise in fame for Malcolm McDowell.

Malcolm McDowell was catapulted into instant fame when he starred in the 1971 Stanley Kubrick sci-fi classic “A Clockwork Orange.” However, the actor, 82, told Page Six in a recent exclusive interview that it was a treacherous time.

McDowell is refreshingly clear-sighted about his career, which transitioned into character and supporting parts. “You’re not worried about what your persona is,” he shared. “You just do it, do the work as honestly as you can, and move on. And, you know, there’ve been a great range of parts I’ve played, you know.”Meghan Markle and Paige DeSorbo have this mascara that ‘never smudges’ in commonOusted CBS anchor Josh Elliott and wife Liz Cho locked in nasty divorce battle after a decade of marriageJustin Bieber, wife Hailey pack on the PDA during LA lunch date after 'surprise' pregnancy reveal ‘House Of Villains’ Star Kate Chastain Still Questions If JoJo Siwa Did ‘Special Forces’ Because She Was Broke: “I Hope To Never Reach That Point In My Life”‘RHOBH’ star Rachel Zoe and ex-assistant Brad Goreski reignite feud 15 years after nasty falloutMeghan Markle and Paige DeSorbo have this mascara that ‘never smudges’ in commonCourtesy Everett Collection
