The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to a deal to send guard Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz as part of a sign-and-trade agreement for guard Kris Dunn. The Clippers are also sending a second-round pick swap and cash to Utah in the deal.
's Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news of the deal.Wojnarowski then reported that Westbrook and the Jazz are expected to agree on a contract buyout, clearing the way for him to join the Denver Nuggets once he passes through waivers.The Clippers have been trying to trade Westbrook ever since he opted into his $4 million player option this offseason. While there were rumors about him potentially being traded to the Nuggets, clearly, the two sides weren't able to work out a deal.
