The Los Angeles Clippers will tip off their 2024-25 season in less than a month when they take on Pacific Division rivals the Phoenix Suns. Leonard had to withdraw from the 2024 Paris Olympics in July due to knee issues. The inflammation in his surgically repaired right knee — the same knee that kept him out of the Clippers' first-round playoff loss to the Dallas Mavericks in April — has been causing him pain.The 33-year-old was coming off one of his healthiest seasons in a long time. Leonard played 68 games in the 2023-24 season, averaging 23.7 points per game, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals while shooting 52.
