Cliftonville Strollers clinched the NIFL Academy League title last week without dropping a single point
Twenty-four wins from 24 games. A flawless title-winning campaign that has held everyone in thrall at Cliftonville FC.
"It is a unique group and the majority of the squad have everything. As mad as it sounds, this group of players reminds me of the Cliftonville squad we had when we won the league in 2013. Very rarely you get a group of players who are all like-minded." Cliftonville Strollers finished third in the U18 League last season, behind Linfield Rangers and Larne Youth, two clubs who also have burgeoning academies.
"And we have good players. You can dress it up whatever way you want, but having good players makes your job as a coach very easy. "This year there is automatic qualification, instead of it working around coefficients and things like that. David had that vision earlier in the season and the players and club have implemented it. It is good for the club and our profile, because young players want to play for Cliftonville Football Club.
