CLEVELAND, Ohio – For a lot of purveyors of food and drink, the Covid-19 pandemic presented enormous challenges that many still haven’t fully emerged from., which returns with its annual Cleveland VegFest. After a five-year hiatus, the daylong event sprouts at the Huntington Convention Center this Saturday, June 22 beginning at 11 a.m.who is also a vegan baker and social media influencer
“It’s certainly a cautionary tale of the dangers of industrial farming,” he added. “A real eye-opener.”Huffman said if there’s a single biggest challenge to overcome after the pandemic, he’s yet to put a finger on it: “We’ve had a lot of challenges,” he said matter-of-factly. “We’re keeping the event free for everyone – except for the food court of course – but we are asking attendees to make a suggested donation of $5 when they come to help it along.”
“We aren’t likely to hit pre-pandemic attendance, but we think it’s reasonable to expect 10,000 or so attendees,” he said. “The buzz about the event return has been very encouraging.”“It was actually the third largest event at the Convention Center before we took our hiatus, you know?” he said. “We were one of the top five events at the convention center every year.”
