Runners will meet at 9 a.m. at Cleveland Police Headquarters on Ontario and then march to the Grater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial on Lakeside Avenue, according to a Facebook post by Cleveland Police District 3.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland Police will hold a memorial run for fallen officer Jamieson Ritter Saturday morning.

There, they will meet for a prayer and moment of silence before a short formation run around the block finishing back at the memorial. According to the post, Officer Ritter’s academy classmates will be running with their class flag in his honor. The memorial service for Officer Ritter will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist.According to Chief Dorothy Todd, multiple officers responded to the area to serve a warrant on a man wanted for felonious assault., was seen leaving a home on a bicycle. While trying to stop him, Chief Todd said the suspect fired shots, striking Officer Ritter.at the scene and transported to the Cuyahoga County Justice Center.
