City crews were at the ready overnight for Cleveland's first snow of the season, but they'll also be collecting leaves curbside over the next eight months, weather permitting.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Leaf and snow season are hitting at the same time this year, but Cleveland City Hall says it’s ready for both.
No changes are coming to the leaf pick-up program this year, and that’s likely welcome news to the many city residents who were upset last year when the city abruptlyResidents in high-generation areas will see signs posted on their streets in the coming weeks, which will let them know when pick-up will occur in their neighborhoods. Signs should be posted one week before the scheduled pick-up, giving people time to rake their leaves into the treelawn.
As is common for this time of year, at least when snow hits early, Cleveland street crews will be juggling leaf pick-up with snow removal. The same workers handle both, so that’s why leaf pick-up, to some degree, depends on the weather.
