The medical office building, cancer center and garage have each been reduced by one floor, the Clinic said. Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital on the West Side of Cleveland next to the Cleveland Metroparks will soon undergo a $150 million construction project.Proposed plans also call for moving the existing 700-space parking deck would be moved from its present location next to the main medical tower to a new location across the street next to the combined Moll Cancer Center and medical office building.
The green buffer, meant to screen the parking garage, would be on land cleared when the Clinic purchased and demolished several homes on West 179th Street. Some residents raised concerns that routing Clinic traffic down West 179th Street would create backups at shift change times, and make it difficult for residents to get in and out of their neighborhood.
