Concerns were raised after an officer with the Clearfield Police Department forcibly detained a man and momentarily muted his body camera during the interaction

The man reportedly failed to respond to the officer's multiple requests to stop and continued walking away. The officer "deployed a use of force tactic that he is trained to use" -- quickly subduing and minorly injuring the man as he placed him under arrest, the police department said.As per department policy, a supervisor responded to the scene, spoke with the man, and explained the reasons for his detainment.The police department said they were notified of the use of force, and, consistent with policy, conducted an internal "Use-of-Force Review.
