Skies will be mostly clear Tuesday in metro Denver with a high of 58 degrees expected. And while the rain is gone, wind speeds could gust to as high as 22 miles per hour. Temperatures are expected to warm through the week with highs in the mid-70s by Thursday and Friday before a cool down on Saturday. Interstate 70 remain icy from Golden to Copper Mountain and icy and snow-packed from just west of Copper Mountain to Vail. The road is wet from Vail to Eagle. The traction law remains in effect. Light clouds in the morning will give way to sunny skies in the afternoon in the Vail area, with temperatures reaching the low 40s. I-70 reopened after a closure in the eastbound direction on Monday night due to safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
