It caused damage to the railroad crossing near 107th and Central Avenue in Oak Lawn.Metra confirmed they shut down all Southwest Line services as the derailment impacted their rails. "I kinda need it for work, so otherwise I have to take the Orange Line which is a bit of a distance from here," commuter Jaime Alvarez said.The cause of the derailment has not been released.Oak Lawn police said there were no injuries. "Our plan of action was number one: notify all schools," Chicago Ridge Mayor John "Jack" Lind said. "Number two: all of our local nursing homes and hospitals that there will be some traffic issues."Street ClosuresOak Lawn police Central Avenue between 107th and Pleasant Boulevard was closed. Ridgeland Avenue is closed between Southwest Highway and Washington Street, Chicago Ridge police said.
