A popular Christmas light event, featuring a light maze, ice skating, a light-up dance floor, and a snow slide, is attracting thousands of visitors and boosting the local economy. The event, which opened on November 22nd and runs until the 29th, employs over 100 local workers and another 60 for construction before and after the event.
"It's fantastic, it's great, it's a light show, it actually didn't feel like Christmas until tonight," said the Banigo family members attending the event.
The event opened at 5:15 p.m., and by 6:00 p.m. there were only 1,000 tickets left. Of the 12,000 they started with."This is great they should do it every year every year, Merry Christmas," Banigo family members said."We've got a light maze we've got ice skating we've got a light up dance floor which is their other favorite thing to do they could be on there for hours running around," Birch said.
"Between our vendors and the hundred or so staff that we have here working every night were able to take a space that's normally shut down for the season and activate it and bring life and light to it as well," Birch said. They opened November 22nd and it's been going strong since. Last weekend sold out before they were even open. But the holiday magic will stick around until the 29th and you can get tickets on the Classic Christmas
