Thompson scored in all three phases of the game, racking up 48 straight points on the way to a 55-14 win over host Spain Park.
AJ Green opened the scoring with a 17-yard run with 9:17 left in the first quarter and quarterback Trent Seaborn threw the first of his two scoring passes, finding Deuce Oliver in the middle of the field for a 48-yard touchdown with 6:19 left. Oliver picked up his second score, returning a Spain Park punt 57 yards for a TD and a 28-point lead with 10:51 left in the second quarter.
Thompson started the third quarter drive with a 60-yard run by Green and Sims followed with a 19-yard pass to Colben Landrew for a 41-0 lead. The Warriors made it 48-0 on a 11-yard pass from Seaborn to Dalton Wills with 8:53 left in the third quarter.
