The longtime screen star, a native New Yorker, is officially in the process of selling her West Village perch — but won’t leave her hometown.
Claire Danes , the 45-year-old actress who has wowed audiences on screen for decades, has entered contract to sell her four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom West Village townhouse, according to a StreetEasy listing update.
Danes shares the townhouse with her husband, the British actor Hugh Dancy, known for his roles in the television series “Hannibal” and the play “Apologia.” They purchased the dwelling in 2012 for $6.87 million, according to city records. That’s when they were expecting their first son. In the years that followed, they had two more children.
Up top, there’s more private outdoor space, thanks to a roof terrace. That has an outdoor kitchen, a pizza oven, as well as views stretching downtown to One World Trade.
