Aleix Espargaro says it is 'bullshit' to believe that the track time over a course of a MotoGP race weekend won't change when sprint races are added next year.

During the announcement press conference, International Race Teams Association president Herve Poncharal said the addition of sprint races would not alter the amount of on-track time currently available to riders.

But Espargaro – who qualified ninth at the Red Bull Ring on Saturday – said the idea that track time will be the same in 2023 was “bullshit” given FP4 and the sprint race that will replace it cannot be compared in terms of effort and risk.
