Civilization 6 has revealed its new Season Pass, the Leader Pass, which will add 18 new leaders to the game.
A huge new season pass for Sid Meier's Civilization VI will add 18 leaders to the game over the course of the next several months. When it first released in 2016, Civilization 6 had 19 civilizations and 20 leaders, a number that has continued to rise over the years thanks to various scenarios, expansion packs, and the previous season pass New Frontier.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY While the previous New Frontier season pass for Civilization 6 added new modes, wonders and civilizations, the new one is all about in-game leaders. A press release for Civilization 6 has announced that the brand-new season pass will begin on November 21 and run through March 2023, consisting of six different DLC packs.
Although things like new game modes and wonders are always great additions to Civilization games, leaders are arguably the most important aspect when it comes to varying gameplay. Each Civilization 6 leader comes with their own specific strategies and victory conditions that best suit them. Some leaders have a focus on strong military, best for a Domination victory, while others have unique abilities geared towards a Religion or Culture victory instead.
Even with the best Civilization 6 mods installed to add content for the title, it's hard to beat the amount of gameplay added from an entire season pass like this one. The Leader Pass looks to be incredibly comprehensive, and all told, it adds almost as many leaders as the base game itself, essentially doubling the amount in Civilization 6.
