PUTRAJAYA: The rates for civil servant's salary increase, which will be implemented from December this year, will be announced before Budget 2025 is tabled in October, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim ."While we expect them to work harder, there has been no review of salary adjustment and fair reward for them for at least 10 years.

The review of the Public Service Remuneration System was undertaken by the Unity Government last year after the last review of the salary scheme was conducted in 2013. Following the completion of the review, on May 1 this year, Anwar announced that civil servants will enjoy a salary hike of more than 13% starting December this year, the highest increase in the nation's history. Two military men claim trial for hiding evidence in fatal accident
