JAKARTA: Indonesia has decided to send 25 badminton players to the 2020 All England Open next week and set a target of winning one gold medal, a badminton official said.

Head of the Indonesian Badminton Association's Sports Development Susi Susanti said that the association expected the Indonesian squad to defend last year's achievement during the badminton tournament scheduled to take place from March 11 to 15 at the Birmingham arena in the United Kingdom, media reported on Friday.

Susanti pointed out that the opportunity to obtain the gold medal was open as it could be grabbed from the men's double, the men's single, the women's double or the mixed double. "They have to collect as many points as possible, especially for the athletes aiming to vie in the Olympics," he said.
