City of Dothan launch PulsePoint app to quickly save lives

The app will alert people close by who are CPR-trained and may be able to get there before first responders.

PulsePoint Respond is an alert system for sudden cardiac arrest and will send an alert to CPR-trained citizens whenever there is a need for CPR in public.said over 3,500 people suffer from sudden cardiac arrest every day. The city of Dothan launched the PulsePoint app to help cut that number down.

“Our average response time is anywhere from four and a half to five minutes. Now when it comes to sudden cardiac arrest every minute is crucial,” Captain Byrd said.
