“Owing to improved generation performance, loadshedding will remain suspended until 16:00 on Monday. Thereafter, Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented from 16:00 until 05:00 on Tuesday. Loadshedding will then be suspended from 05:00 until 16:00 on Tuesday. This pattern of suspending loadshedding from 05:00 until 16:00 and implementing Stage 2 loadshedding from 16:00 until 05:00, will be repeated daily until further notice.
Eskom pleaded with the public to switch off non-essential appliances – in particular geysers and pool pumps – to reduce the demand, especially between 17:00 and 21:00.Eskom is a South African electricity public utility.
