"Barton Springs is going down to only a few days a week to be able to accommodate the lack of lifeguards," said Paige Ellis, Austin City Council, District 8."Dick Nichols pool is right now ready to go ready to be filled, ready to staff up with lifeguards, but we just don't have the commitment," she said.
"If you make it all the way through the summer, you could get a $500 bonus. I know the PARD board is looking at should there be wage increases," said Ellis.
