Plus, enabling the use of $5.1 million of voter-approved bonds to make improvements to several cultural and arts centers in Austin, including the enhancements for The Museum of Human Achievement and the Block 18 Creative/Cultural Venue.A partnership between City Council and Travis County was approved to use EPA grant funds to reduce greenhouse gases from municipal buildings in the Austin Metropolitan Area.
Council also accepted funds from the Texas Department of State Health Services to develop monitoring systems to accurately track viruses, including COVID-19. Plus, the negotiation and execution of an interlocal agreement with the Travis County Sheriff's Office for the provision of security services at the Austin Public Library for an initial 12-month term.
