DOTHAN, Ala. - The Alabama Department of Transportation has shifted its construction efforts to the median of Ross Clark Circle in between Choctaw Street and Sam’s Club, the City of Dothan said in a statement.
All median crossings between Choctaw Street and Chic-Fil-A are closed until at least Friday, June 14. The closure will allow ALDOT to install new storm drainage and construct crossovers to access the new service roads. To establish a safe work zone, the City said the existing travel lanes will shift outward and away from the median. Once the shift has been made, two lanes will remain open in each direction.Further down, drivers will see construction on the right turn lane from US-231 South to Ross Clark Circle. Travelers turning right from the Circle onto Montgomery Highway must do so from the through-lane.and receive the latest local news and weather straight to your email every morning.
