Network-equipment giant Cisco Systems Inc. posted lower quarterly sales and projected its first annual sales decline in three years, citing economic uncertainty amid the coronavirus pandemic that has taken a toll on its core business of switches and routers.
The San Jose, Calif.-based company, considered a proxy for corporate high-tech hardware demand, on Wednesday reported a 7.5% sales decline for the April quarter, driven by lower sales at its core infrastructure-platforms business.
