Following the delay of James Bond film 'No Time to Die' releasing into theaters, Britain's Cineworld chain is planning to close screens as soon as this week

, Britain's struggling Cineworld theater chain is planning to close 128 screens in the U.K. and Ireland as soon as this week,The chain's Regal Cinemas in the U.S. — of which there are 543 — will also be affected by the closures.

"The impact of COVID-19 on our business and the wider leisure industry has been substantial, with the closures of all of our cinemas worldwide for an extended period,"Amid falling revenue over the last few months, Cineworld's stock was down nearly 15 percent on Sept. 23, and the company warned there was"no certainty" about what impact the pandemic would ultimately have on the business.
