Members of the Cincinnati Bengals recently teamed up to give back to the community.
On Tuesday, several players helped build and install a wheelchair ramp for a disabled veteran.The project was part of 'Operation Ramp It Up,' which is a nonprofit organization that helps install wheelchair ramps for veterans with disabilities around the United States.On Tuesday, the ramp was installed for retired Sgt. James Angel, who served for a combined 11 years in the U.S.
Army and the Ohio National Guard.'We like to get out and help our neighbors like everyone else does,' Bengals guard Cordell Volson said. 'So to be able to do that is great to continue to build the support in the community, them for us and us for them.'Operation Ramp It Up has installed and recycled more than 250 ramps across 47 states in the country. The organization hopes to help veterans in the last three states soon.
