The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center will monitor the use of artificial intelligence and deep fake s in the 2025 national and local elections .“The public will be misled to a lot of contents na hindi na natin alam kung ano ang magiging totoo at hindi,” said CICC Director Alexander Ramos in Nico Waje’s report on “Unang Balita” Monday.“Right now, we have sufficient technology to look at it,” Ramos said.
The poll body earlier said candidates vying for positions in the 2025 NLE and Bangsamoro polls should declare if they use campaign materials created using AI and disclose its nature and extent of its usage.Comelec also said the preparations for the polls are ongoing. Meanwhile, the second batch of machines to be used for the printing of ballots arrived in the country.
