The tool will allow its users to see the original source of information it gathers and include a chat feature through which agents can chat with the machine to provide specific answers.
According to a Bloomberg report, the CIA plans to equip its analysts with the new AI tool to better access open-source intelligence. This includes sifting through public information for leads in investigations.
The development comes after critics have called the current methods of CIA processing available public data “slow.” “Then you can take it to the next level and start chatting and asking questions of the machines to give you answers, also sourced.”
