Early voting starts tomorrow for the run-off election in a handful of council races and the mayor's race. Here are our endorsements to help if you haven't already made up your mind.
Council District 9: Linda Guerrero. But that’s not because we didn’t reconsider them.
In the mayor’s race, that reconsideration was internal and brief; nothing about how the Nov. 8 election turned out, nor about the campaign that’s unfolded since, made us rethink our support for Israel and for the reasons we laid out before. When we met with the candidates back in October, we invited her and Kirk Watson in and had time to get answers from each to most of the questions that were going to steer our endorsement.

False endorsements from popular Filipino doctors used to promote an unregistered cosmeticMultiple digitally altered videos advertising a supposed skin-whitening serum have been shared millions of times by Facebook users in the Philippines in posts that falsely claim the cosmetic product was endorsed by famous local doctors. The doctors featured in the videos told AFP they had not endorsed the product -- which is not registered with the country's Food and Drug Administration. A dermatologist also warned that unregistered products may irritate the skin and cause harm.
