The film has outperformed “Fast X” and “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” and trails behind “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” , Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” and Marvel’s “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3” . In North America, “Oppenheimer” has remained in the top three for more than a month. It’s the highest-grossing R-rated film of the year, ahead of “John Wick: Chapter 4” and it’s the sixth-biggest release of 2023 after Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” .
