The podcast, hosted by Christopher Michael, explores culture and the human experience through the lens of creatives.

“We’ve had the incredible opportunity to once again speak with another group of brilliant minds, delving into their distinct processes and perspectives. In doing so, we’re also confronted with the ubiquitous nature of the human experience,” Michael told WWD.platform in 2011 and has since transformed and expanded it into the podcast “What’s Contemporary Now?” The podcast unites thought leaders from across industries to discuss topics surrounding culture, career and the overall human experience.

A guest in the upcoming season is Mel Ottenberg, a wardrobe stylist and the current editor in chief of Interview magazine.Nick Knight, Vanessa Friedman, Ruba Abu-Nimah, photographer Willy Vanderperre, Quil Lemons, Thom Bettridge, Lady Amanda Harlech and Robin Galiegue are also set to be featured in the new season.

“Creative individuals help shape the contemporary landscape. Naturally, it felt like a great place to start in exploring the makings of culture today. The chance to speak to the legendary Nick Knight about technology and image making, Quil Lemons about queer Black culture, and to creatives bringing those from the margins to front and center stage is priceless,” Michael added in a statement to WWD regarding season three of the podcast.
