'It's an amazing way to make people smile and celebrate Christmas'
Meet the couple whose home has become a 'local attraction' in Clifton for their elaborate Christmas decorations. Richard Dunnett, the proud owner of the Christmas-themed house on Brooksby Lane, said he takes time off work every year to decorate his house - and turn it into a real-life Winter Wonderland.
"We have always been doing Christmas, but in the last few years we went full on. I just love Christmas, and it just puts a smile on people's faces when they see our house."Locally, everyone knows us. Our neighbours cannot wait for us to start decorating every year. A number of Christmas inflatables make his garden stand out from afar, with lights dressing the exterior of his home. Despite the rising cost of electric bills, Mr Dunnett added: "I will worry about the bills after New Year's. It is Christmas - I do not care about bills if it is Christmas."
Mr Dunnett has lived at the address with Sarah Wallace for 14 years. They also have a dog, Rosie, who gets special garments during the festive period.
