Toretti has been a prominent figure in Pennsylvania Republican politics for many years, serving as one of two national committee people representing the state on the RNC since 1997 and is a well-known fundraiser for the party. She chairs S&T Bancorp, a financial holding company based in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and is the former director of the Pittsburgh Federal Reserve Bank and a former CEO of a now-shuttered gas and oil drilling company. Toretti is the ex-wife of the late Hall of Fame NCAA basketball coach Lute Olson.
