Christine McGuinness pokes fun at herself as she shares reality of glam night out with unsung heroes
Christine McGuinness saw the funny side as she was caught in a video dashing off stage after presenting a gong at the Pride of Manchester awards. The model dazzled as she hit the red carpet at the event at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.
She also coordinated with a pal at the awards to recognise acts of bravery, long-lasting battles against the odds and inspirational campaigning on Wednesday night . Christine was one of the many award presenters on the night.The mum-of-three got up on stage alongside Labour MP Lisa Nandy and host Kym Marsh as they presented the Special Recognition award to Peter Garsden, a lawyer who has dedicated his career to achieving justice for victims of child sex abuse.
The 35-year-old, who has been open about her autism since her diagnosis at 33, added: "It's always an honour to present an award but WOW my nerves, anxiety and sensory overloads spins my head." "[It was] a really, really emotional, inspiring evening. Just incredible. The winners there were just unreal." She added: "I gave an award out to an amazing man named Peter and you know, I'm not comfortable ons tage. I'm a nervous wreck but I had to do this award because he was just amazing.
